Pauline Ann (McQueen) Capobianco, age 90, passed away peacefully in the Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane (Peyton) McQueen. She spent her early years living in Roxbury before her family settled in Roslindale. Pauline graduated from Mission High School with the Class of 1944, where she met her soon to be husband, Arnold M. "Buddy" Capobianco. After graduation, Pauline worked as a secretary for various industrial companies.
Pauline and Buddy were married on May 7, 1947 and together they made their home in Roslindale. They later moved to Norwood before settling in Walpole in 1967. In the mid-1960s, Pauline took an administrative assistant position with the Hyde Park High School. She went on to become the administrative assistant to the headmaster of the West Roxbury High School in the mid-1980s. After Buddy's passing in 1983, she moved into her condo in East Walpole in 1985. Pauline retired in 2002 with over 30 years of dedicated service to the Boston Public Schools.
She was an avid reader, enjoying the latest mystery novel and enjoyed playing golf as a member of the Walpole Country Club. Pauline also enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint work, creating beautiful displays. She regularly completed crossword puzzles and always had fun playing a game of Scrabble. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and as a wonderful cook, loved creating a wonderful meal for them all to enjoy.

Loving mother of Arnold R. Capobianco and his wife Joanne of Titusville, FL, Janice Corwin and her husband Rand of Norfolk, and Susan Eldracher and her husband Kevin of Norfolk.
Cherished grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 11.
Sister of Muriel Fresco of Malden, the late William McQueen, the late Robert McQueen, the late Virginia Perry, the late Olive Crowley, and the late Geraldine O'Donnell.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Pauline's Life Celebration on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-6 PM and Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
