Paula J. (Pinkham) Lawlor, age 71, passed away unexpectedly in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on June 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Stanley R. and Margaret (Borrow) Pinkham. She spent her early years on the South Shore before her family settled in Norwood, Massachusetts. During Paula’s career at Norwood High School, she took a position with W.T. Grant’s in Norwood, working as a waitress part-time. Following her graduation in 1965, she took a full-time waitressing position with Grant’s.
Paula married her beloved husband, Richard E. Lawlor, on August 10, 1968, in Saint Catherine’s Church in Norwood. The young couple made their home together in Walpole, where they welcomed their daughter Rita. Paula went on to work for Underwood in Westwood and Dimitri’s Red Snapper in Walpole, before taking a server’s position with the Rebel in Walpole Center. She worked at the Rebel for the next 20 years until their closing, when she took a position as a barista with Starbucks in Westwood. Paula spent the next 21 years with Starbucks, retiring in 2018.
When Paula wasn’t hard at work, she enjoyed taking care of her yard and attending various flea markets, especially the one in Brimfield. She and Rick shared a passion for antique cars and Paula could be found at all the Mass Cruisers Car Club shows in her ’56 T-Bird. Most of all, she loved her family, always ensuring they were well taken care of.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Paula’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
