Paul J. Poirier

Paul J. Poirier age 83 years died in the Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on August 8, 2010. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 5, 1926; he was the son of the late Douglas and Irene Poirier. He graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1944. Mr. Poirier served his country during World War II in the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for over 50 years moving from Norwood.

Mr. Poirier worked for the Walpole Police Department for 35 years, retiring in 1978 as a Sergeant.

He was a member of the Massachusetts Police Association and was a private pilot at Norwood Aviation.

Beloved husband of the late Lunette (Sheaff) Poirier. Loving father of David Poirier of Walpole, Paula McDonough of Norwood, and the late Alan Poirier. Cherished grandfather of Nicole McDonough, Tina Poirier, and Carla Poirier, and great grandfather of Jovini Yuastella.
