Paul Lazarus, age 73, passed away in the Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center in Natick, Massachusetts on Friday, July 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Morris and Sylvia (Molta) Lazarus. He spent his early years in Dorchester, before his family settled in Mattapan. Paul graduated from Boston English High School with the Class of 1963 and continued his education at Northeastern University, before attending Bentley College. After college, Paul took a marketing position with the Zayre Corporation and later took an estimating position with Mr. Lumber.
Paul met the love of his life, Carolyn M. McKeon, in the early 1970s. Together they made their home in Quincy in 1972 and they were married on July 9, 1976. After their wedding, Paul and Carolyn settled in Randolph, where Paul began his business, PJC Landscaping. As their family began to grow, Paul and Carolyn moved to North Easton before making their home in Norfolk in 1984.
Paul had a love for sports throughout his life. As a young man, he enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, and spending time on the racquetball court. In his later years, he continued to cheer on his Boston sports teams, catching a game whenever he could.
Above all, family was most important to Paul and he always went out of his way to make sure that everyone knew how much he loved them. As a devoted husband, Paul cherished the time he spent with his wife, and especially their yearly trips to Florida. While his children were young, Paul made sure to support them in all their athletic events and as they grew up he passed on his love for cooking to them. Paul was overjoyed at the birth of his grandchildren, always spending as much time as he could with them.
