Paul Aaron Kiessling

February 22, 1973 — March 5, 2017

Paul Aaron Kiessling, age 44, passed away in his South Walpole, Massachusetts home on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on February 22, 1973, he was the son of Carl F. and Paula D. (Dunham) Kiessling. He was raised in Walpole, attending Boyden Elementary School and Bird Middle School, before graduating from Tri County Regional High School with the Class of 1991. Throughout his high school career and the years following, Paul formed life-long friendships with his buddies, George, Andy, and Dave as well as many others. They could always be found together causing all kinds of shenanigans.

After graduation, Paul began working alongside his family members at their company, Kiessling Transit, in Norfolk. He started out as an apprentice mechanic and after countless hours learning the trade from his co-workers, he became a full-time mechanic before taking the position of Maintenance Manager in 1997. He earned the position of Safety Trainor in 2010, which allowed him to showcase his natural ability to talk to anyone, making sure everyone in the company was up to date on various procedures.

On June 22, 2002, Paul married Caroline N. O'Neill, and together they made their home in Norfolk, where they welcomed two children, Hannah in 2003 and Jack in 2006. Nothing made Paul happier than spending time with his two kids. He and Hannah spent countless hours conversing and he taught Jack how to "run" the family's snow blower, time which all three of them cherished. Paul, Hannah, and Jack had a long-standing tradition of spending every 3rd of July together, celebrating Independence Day, in Walpole watching the fireworks.

Throughout his life, family was incredibly important to Paul. In addition to spending time with Hannah and Jack, he loved spending time with his parents and brothers. He always looked forward to a family trip to their summer home in Bay Point, Maine, where he along with his Dad and two brothers, Roger and Lars, would spend the days on the water Blue Fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his parents at their home in Florida and as an avid fisherman, would never turn down the chance to fish of the Florida Keys.

His love for fishing, led to his love of boats. He was right at home on any boat and enjoyed checking out area boat shows, looking for the latest and greatest. As an avid New England Patriots Fan, he took any chance he had to cheer them on at their home field at Gillette Stadium. Paul also enjoyed some quiet time too, playing various games on his phone, including Yahtzee, Deer Hunter, and Subway Surfer. He played each game until he could figure out the pattern, then would switch to the next game. In addition to the games, he enjoyed watching some reality shows, especially Cops and Alaskan Bush People, on T.V., however, he much preferred watching cartoons, such as Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, SpongeBob, Squidbillies, and the Lego Movies. Paul had a natural talent in the kitchen, he was grill master and produced wonderful meals for friends and family, including his mother's recipe for macaroni and cheese with kielbasa. He knew just how to cook a steak and enjoyed dining out at many restaurants such as Texas Road House, the Eagle Brook, Hibachi, and could be found at Sunday morning brunch at Raffael's. All his family and friends knew that on any given day, Paul could be found lounging around his house in his plaid pajama bottoms with a tee shirt and slippers, spending time with his dog Jasmine and most recently with his kids dog Molly, while sipping on his coffee with 3 sugars and 2 creams or an ice-cold Captain and Coke with a lime, whistling out a tune.

Loving father of Hannah and John "Jack" Kiessling.
Former husband of Caroline N. O'Neill.
Devoted son of Carl F. and Paula D. (Dunham) Kiessling of North Fort Meyers, Florida.
Cherished brother of Roger Kiessling and his wife Prudence of Maine and Lars Kiessling of Walpole.
