Patrick J. Fahey

February 27, 1920 — June 28, 2012

PATRICK J. Fahey, age 92, was called to his heavenly home on June 28, 2012 .

He was born in Ardboley, Balla, Co. Mayo, Ireland. He was the eldest son of James and Delia Fahey.

He was a resident of Norfolk, Ma. for the past 45 years, having moved from Arlington, Ma. Patrick was a man of deep faith. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Jude's Catholic in Norfolk where he attended daily Mass with his beloved wife, Cecelia, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Kathleen and Masie, and his brothers, James and John.

Patrick was a "Jack of All Trades". He was a Farmer in Ireland, a Bus Driver in England, a Contractor in Canada and the owner of a Driving School in Boston.

He built his own home where he and his wife Anna Cecelia enjoyed gardening and horseback riding together. A highlight of each year was the gathering of friends and family for a great New Years celebration at their home.

Patrick was an avid reader and always enjoyed a lively discussion on many topics.

He is survived by his brother, Msgr. Gerard Fahey, of Santa Rosa, California, three nephews, Gerard, Francis and Joseph, and a grand niece, Maria, of Co. Mayo, Ireland.

He will be missed by many relatives and friends, especially Betty Ann and Dale Powers, Susan, Michael and James Riley who ministered to Patrick with loving care and kindness during his long illness, and also Tom Caulfield and Christine Shaw.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Viewing and Rosary at James H. Delaney and Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St. Walpole, Ma. Thursday, July, 5, from 4-6pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude's Church 86 Main St. Norfolk, Ma., Friday, July, 7th at 10:30 am

Interment is in the Norfolk Cemetery following Mass.
