Patricia Ann (Burkhart) White, age 90, passed away peacefully in her Kathleen, Georgia home on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, surounded by her loving family. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on December 1st, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Catherine (Quinn) Burkhart. She was raised in Erie and graduated from Villa Marie High School with the Class of 1947. Pat continued her education at Mercyhurst College, earning her bachelor's degree with a focus in English in 1951. Following her graduation, Pat began her secretarial career with Copes-Vulcen, Inc in Erie.
While working at Copes-Vulcan, Pat met her husband to be, Frank F. White, Jr., as he was one of the company's engineers. They were married on February 18th, 1956 and after Frank took a position with the Foxboro Company, the young couple made their home together in East Walpole, Massachusetts. Upon settling in East Walpole, Pat took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her four children. She also volunteered her time with the Welcome Wagon, introducing herself to families new to the area, and enjoyed socializing with her friends in local bowling leagues. As her children grew up, Pat returned to the working world, taking a position with the Gosslin Corporation and later Masoneilan. She officially retired in 1997, however as a woman who enjoyed staying busy, Pat stayed on board as a consultant until 2009.
When Pat wasn't hard at work, she enjoyed spending time outdoors watching the birds and tending her flowers. She loved her flowers, always ensuring they were well cared for. She had a special place in her heart for puppies and they loved her, especially Millie. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with her family, and was especially delighted at the birth of all her grandchildren.
