Patricia A. Walsh

Patricia A. (Malley) Walsh, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her home in Sharon, Massachusetts.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Leo and Mary Frances (Begley) Malley.  She was raised in the Roslindale section of Boston, where she graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1963.

Patricia married her beloved husband, John E. Walsh and, together, they made their home together in Roslindale.  While living in Roslindale, Patricia took a position with Harvard University, working as an administrative assistant to a professor, and later returned to her own education, taking courses at Mount Ida College in Newton.

After her husband’s untimely passing, Patricia setled in Sharon, Massachusetts in 1986.  She quickly found work with FM Global in Norwood, where she served as a typesetter for twenty-three years before her retirement in 2010.  Following her retirement, Patricia kept busy, taking on part-time jobs with Frugal Fannie's, Kohl's, and Home Instead, where she worked as a home health aide.

Throughout her life, Patricia loved spending time outdoors, tending to her garden and was well-known for her walking, even in all kinds of weather.  She also enjoyed knitting, creating beautiful works that she gifted to others.  Patricia looked forward to an afternoon at the library finding a new favorite book, with her favorites being history, biographies, or anything by Irish writers. 

Most of all, Patricia loved being surrounded by her family and friends.  She truly believed that laughter was the best medicine, and as such, her family asks that everyone spend a little more time laughing with those they love.

Loving mother of Patricia Ann Manning of Sharon and Christine M. Manning and her husband, Steven Weiner, of Brockton.

Cherished grandmother of Ryan C. Manning of Sharon.

Sister of Stephen J. Malley of Boston, Arthur L. Malley of Syracuse, NY, the late Ellen M. Dillon, and the late Mary F. Dority.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Patricia's Life Celebration on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
