Patricia A. McTighe Capone, age 91, died at Norwood Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waban, Massachusetts on May 13, 1926, she was the devoted daughter of the late Joseph P. and Margaret G. (Noonan) Glynn. Pat was raised in Waban and summered at Priscilla Beach, Plymouth. She graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1944 and continued her education at the Jackson Von Ladeau School of Fashion, graduating with the class of 1947. Pat has been a resident of Walpole since 1962, where she was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church for over fifty years.

Beloved wife of the late John E. McTighe and the late Daniel J. Capone. Loving mother of John M. McTighe of Walpole, Kathleen P. McTighe of Walpole, Elizabeth A. McTighe-Nichols and her husband Alan of Coral Springs, FL, and Joseph P. McTighe of Dublin, OH. Cherished grandmother of Monica M. Cullen, Melissa A. McTighe, Meghan A. Muilman, J. Zachary Muilman, Joseph P. McTighe, Jr., and Shannon M. McTighe. Great-grandmother of four. Sister of the late John P. Glynn, Francis X. Glynn, and Margaret M. Glynn.

Pat worked at the House of Bianchi fashions upon her graduation from Jackson Von Ladeau until her marriage when she left her career to raise her family. As her children got older, Pat became a valued member of our Walpole community in a variety of venues. Pat was a Cub Scout Leader as well as the adult advisor for the Marian Award for the Girl Scouts. She was the adult advisor for the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Youth Organization for many years and due to her outstanding success with the youth, she was conferred the national "God and Youth Award" by Humberto Cardinal Medeiros, an award for men and women who have distinguished themselves by their commitment and quality of their service on behalf of the youth. In recent years, she served the youth of her parish by participating in Caring Connections, a role in which she has worked with the first graders at the Blessed Sacrament School for many years. She was also a member of the Sodality at the church. Pat has been an integral member at the Walpole Senior Center and the Walpole Women's Club, previously serving as their Vice President. She was a volunteer with the Walpole Emergency Services and was instrumental in arranging transportation for voters with the Walpole Polls. Pat worked in the Walpole school system for twenty years as a secretary at the Johnson Middle School (West Junior High School) and in the Guidance Department at Walpole High School. Pat loved to read, travel the world, and never met a stranger. Of all of her successes and jobs, she was most proud of being a wonderful Mother.
