Patricia Marie McColgan

Patricia Marie (Hogan) McColgan, age 75, passed away in the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Born in Boston on May 31, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Martin A. and Laura (Hodgeman) Hogan. She was raised in East Walpole and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1958.

Pat married her husband, Charles P. McColgan, on December 3, 1961 in Saint Mary's Church in East Walpole. They lived in Norwood for a brief time following their wedding before settling in Bellingham. Pat took on the role of a homemaker to raise and care for her young and growing family and became very active in the Bellingham Youth Hockey Program with her sons.

Pat was a member of the prayer group at Saint Brendan's Church in Bellingham, knitting shawls for the sick and elderly. As an avid quilter, she was a member of the Bellingham Quilters Club and made quilts for the Paul Newman Hole in Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut.

In addition to knitting and quilting, Pat enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She and Chuck loved traveling across the country in their motorhome as well as spending time on Cape Cod.

Pat is the beloved wife of Charles P. "Chuck" McColgan.
She is the loving mother of John C. McColgan of Henderson, NV, Denise Morales of Berkley, and Timothy A. McColgan of Henderson, NV.
She is the cherished grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 1.
She is the devoted sister of Helen Cico of Mariposa, CA, Lawrence Hogan, Terrance Hogan both of Clearwater, FL, and the late Sheila Lafferty.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Pat's Life Celebration on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4-7 PM and Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
