Patricia Izzo

Patricia (Broyer) Izzo, age 80, passed away peacefully in her Walpole, Massachusetts home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Horace Broyer and Bessie (Bernazzani) Broyer. Raised on Auburn Street in Boston, she graduated from Archbishop Cushing Central High School and was an avid member of the school’s Drama Club, participating in many plays.

Upon her graduation, Patricia began work as an office manager in Boston. During this time, she married her beloved husband, the late William S. Izzo, on April 28, 1957. The couple moved to Walpole in 1966, where they raised their three children. Patricia worked as a manicurist until Thackeray's Restaurant opened in the Walpole Mall in 1974; there, she worked as a hostess, and later became an Assistant Manager at the restaurant, where she worked until her retirement in 1987.

In her retirement, Patricia found enjoyment playing cards with her friends, knitting, crafting, and making jewelry.  She was an avid traveler, and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Foxwoods, Florida, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. She and her husband William were inseparable, and they took great pride and joy in helping to raise their grandchildren, who they loved very much.

Devoted mother of Nicole Izzo of Walpole, Julie Robbins and Paul of Franklin, and Ronald Izzo and Christine of Walpole.
Cherished grandmother of Adam, Samantha, Christina, Caroline, Victoria, Ryan, Mark, and Evangeline.
Great-grandmother of Dexter and Bishop.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Patricia’s Life Celebration on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:00AM. Interment will be private at the request of Patricia’s family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
