Norman Paul DeSalvo

April 15, 1940 — April 1, 2020

Norman Paul DeSalvo, 79, of Medway, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts.  Born in Dedham, Massachusetts on April 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Albert and Pearl (Gillis) DeSalvo.  He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, graduating from Walpole High School with the class of 1958.

Norman worked as a security guard for many years at Raytheon in Wayland, retiring in 2005.

After meeting the love of his life, Judith M. Hezlitt, he made his home with her at the Medway Senior Housing in 1999.  Norm and Judy loved spending time together, often taking rides in their van to see the sights.  Together they enjoyed visiting the apple orchards in Stow, Massachusetts and they always looked forward to spending the Fourth of July at the Cape Cod Canal, watching the fireworks displays.

Norm was predeceased by the love of his life, Judith M. Hezlitt.
He is the father of Elaine DeSalvo and Julie DeSalvo both of Connecticut.
He is the loving brother of Claire Kleimola and her husband, Bill, of Walpole and the late Alberta L. Gamble, John A. DeSalvo and his surviving wife, Eileen of Greenville, NY, Richard G. DeSalvo, Margaret C. Dagner, and Elizabeth Oulton.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As a result of the ongoing health crisis in the world and our community and with genuine concern for the well-being of all involved, Norm’s family has decided that his visitation and funeral services will be private.  Interment will take place in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole.   A Celebration of Norm's life will be held in the fall, when we return to calmer and healthier times.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.  Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
