Nicholas E. Cassidy, II

Nicholas E. Cassidy II, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 22, 1962, he was the son of the late Nicholas E. and Mary E. (Sullivan) Cassidy.  Nick was raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts and attended Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School.  After completing his education, Nick went on to take a position running a gas station in Norwood.

Nick married his beloved wife, Karen L. Cliborne, and together they made their home in East Walpole, where they raised their children.  To help a family friend, Nick brought his culinary skill set to their restaurant in Canton, ensuring the kitchen ran smoothly and the food was perfectly prepared.  Later, Nick took his passion for automobiles to Stegos Paint Supply on Route 1 in Walpole, helping his customers choose the perfect paint and equipping them will all the supplies needed to paint whatever car rolled into the shop.  As a car enthusiast, Nick looked forward to attending local car show and meets, inspecting all the entries and picking out his favorites.

Back at home, Nick enjoyed surfing the web on his computer, learning about anything and everything.  His family was excited any time he stepped in the kitchen, as he often treated them to a home cooked meal and was known for his prime rib.  He had a lifelong fascination with the American Bald Eagle, and enjoyed watching them majestically soar through the air, believing in everything that it stood for.  He shared his passion for eagles with his family and was delighted to pass on his love to his grandson, Nick, Jr., who he was incredibly proud of.

Beloved husband of Karen L. (Cliborne) Cassidy.
Loving father of Melissa L. Cassidy of Mansfield, Nicholas E. Cassidy, III and his fiance, Apploinia, of Millis, and the late Brad Cassidy.
Cherished grandfather of Nicholas E. Cassidy, Jr. of Millis.
Brother of Mary M. Dickinson and her late husband, Roger, of Brockton and the late John N. Cassidy and his surviving wife, Ann, of Foxborough.
