Nancy Margaret Munro, age 53, passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Friday, September 27, 2019. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 30, 1966, she was the daughter of David M. and Nancy M. (McDonough) Munro. She was raised in Walpole and attended Dedham Country Day School before graduating from Noble and Greenough School with the Class of 1984. Following graduation, Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree at Colby College, graduating in 1988.
In the years after college, Nancy pursued her stand-up comedy career, providing hours of entertainment to many in Boston. She later returned to her education, attending the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, where she completed her studies to become a Registered Nurse. Nancy went on to take a nursing position with the New England Baptist Hospital, where she worked for many years.
When Nancy wasn’t hard at work, she enjoyed the outdoors, putting many miles under her feet as she took in all of nature’s beauty. She also enjoyed her quiet time at home, whether completing jigsaw puzzles, reading one of her favorite books, or placing her thoughts and words on paper.

Cherished sister of Kimberly Anne Munro of Newfane, Vermont, Jonathan Munro of Cambridge, Jennifer Moulton of Walpole, Ryan Munro of Portland, Maine, Robert Munro of Concord, Courtney Munro of Walpole, Meghan Munro of Walpole, James Munro of Brooklyn, New York, and the late Heidi A. Munro.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Nancy’s visitation on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of Nancy’s family.
