Nancy M. Golden

Nancy Marie (Walsh) Smith Golden passed away on May 3rd surrounded by her children in her home following a long illness. Born on November 12, 1931 in Jamaica Plain, she was raised in Norwood before marrying the late Frederick W. Smith. Nancy was the former spouse of Charles H. Golden of Norwood; the loving mother of Frederick Smith of Concord, OH, Barbara Fruci of North Attleboro, Jeffrey Smith of Merrimack, NH, Christopher Smith of Walpole, Elizabeth Fisher of Norton, Maryellen Oulton of Attleboro, and Charles Golden of Jamaica Plain. Nancy was the beloved sister of Richard Walsh of Walpole and predeceased in death by her loving parents Latona (Currier) and John J. Walsh, brothers Frank Walsh, John Walsh and sisters Evelyn Abely and Barbara Pittman. She was the cherished Nana of 13 grandchildren. Nancy was a retired employee of the New England Telephone Company. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 811 West Evergreen Avenue, Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60642-2642 or to the Walpole Food Pantry.

There will be a life celebration at the Delaney Funeral Home in Walpole on May 12th from 3 PM to 5 PM.

A private internment is planned.
