Nancy E. Blumenthal

Nancy E. (Fitzgerald) Blumenthal, age 59, passed away in the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, Massachusetts on Monday, October 10, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Donahue) Fitzgerald. She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, graduating from Walpole High School with the Class of 1975. She continued her education at Massachusetts Bay Community College, earning her Associates Degree in Business.

After graduation, Nancy worked as a bookkeeper at various companies including Sun Life Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Claims Adjustment Specialists. She also worked for several years at the League School, first in Newton and later in their new location in Walpole.

Nancy reconnected with her husband Mark in 1999, purchasing their home on Thomas Street in Walpole in 2008, and they were married on June 15, 2013.

Nancy enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and following the Boston Red Sox. In addition, she enjoyed camping, taking trips to Canada with Mark and spending long weekends on Cape Cod. Some of her favorite memories were from spending time with family and friends.

Aunt of Heather and Robert Fitzgerald.
Daughter in law of Rosalyn Blumenthal of Sharon.
Sister in law of John Blumenthal of Sharon and Gary Blumenthal and his wife June of Sharon and their daughter Rachel of Somerville.
Also survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Nancy's visitation on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
