Michael G. Hartmann age 51 years died in the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts on Monday, September 19, 2011 after a courageous battle with Diabetes. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 2, 1960; he graudated from Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire with the class of 1978. He later attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. He has been a resident of Stoughton, Massachusetts since 2006 moving there from Walpole.
Mr. Hartmann was a retired restaurant manager having worked for the Hyatt in Connecticut ,for the Marriott Corporation in Orlando, as well as restuarants in the Orlando and Naples, Florida areas.
He was an avid and talented tennis player. He played for both Proctor Academy and Flagler College. In addition, he competed in the New England area for many years and won multiple trophies.
Mr. Hartmann was a car enthusiast, an excellent cook, and enjoyed spending time at the beach enjoying the warm weather. He collected watches and enjoyed traveling around New England with his fiancee Bobbie.
He will be remember for his great sense of humor.
Devoted son of the late Edward L. and Dorothy J. (Jackson) Hartmann. Loving brother of Edward L. and his wife Judith Hartmann, Jr, Kathy E. and her husband Robert Turco, Pamela H. O'Neil and her fiancee Paul Ryan all of Walpole, Robert J. and his wife Lori Hartmann of Windsor, Ct and the late Dorothy Hartmann-MacKay. Fiancee of Bobbie Block of Stoughton. also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nephews and his devoted dog Ralphie.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, September 23, 2011 from 4PM to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. Memorial donations may be made to Michael's favorite charity: Rosie's Rafikis, Inc 83 Willow Street Foxboro, Massachusetts 02035.
