Michael Francis Bannon

Mr. Michael Francis Bannon age 63 years died in the Newton Wellesley Hospital, Newton, Massachusetts on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 29, 1949, the son of the late Edward F. Bannon and Margaret (Harrison) Bannon. He was a life long resident of Walpole. Graduating with the Class of 1968, from Walpole High School. He entered into the United States Navy and served his country in Guam during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Bannon was a Microbiology Technician for the Siemens Medical Solutions in Walpole for the past 20 years. Formerly he worked for Colony Gas , Norwood Bottled Gas and Eastern Propane.

Michael enjoyed playing golf, skiing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid reader. A member of the Walpole Sportsman's Association and VFW Post 5188 Walpole

Beloved husband of Christina Manocchio-Bannon Loving father of Jesse M. and his wife Jackie Bannon of Gilbert, AZ and PFC Zachary M. Bannon, USMC of Walpole Brother of Sylvia A. Smith of Wilmington, Margaret M. O'Neil, Janice Godino, Frances E. Cacciagrani all of Walpole, Marcia J. Rasicot of N. Attleboro, Thomas F. Bannon of Medway, the late Edward W. Bannon and the late John Bannon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27 at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, May 8, 2012, from 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts.
