Melvin Warner Tucker

January 11, 1917 — November 3, 2007

Melvin Warner Tucker, aged 90, died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona on November 3rd, 2007. He lived most of his life in Walpole, Massachusetts, moving to Phoenix after his wife Eva's passing in 2000. As a young man he worked in dairy farms throughout New England. In World War II, he proudly served his country as a member of the 313th Medical Battalion of the U.S. Army. Upon discharge, he worked for Kendell Co. in Walpole MA until his retirement. In 2006 he became a Catholic, receiving the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation at St. Gabriel's church in Cave Creek, Arizona. He was a gentle and honorable man, loved by those who knew him. He is survived by four sons, Warner Tucker of Titusville, FL, David Tucker of Cave Creek, AZ, Alan Tucker of Mansfield, MA and Richard Tucker of Weymouth, MA; six grandchildren, all who have made him very proud; and three beautiful great granddaughters who were the apple of his eye. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral mass that will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, November 9, 2007 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street, Walpole. Interment in Saint Francis Cemetery. A memorial to honor his life in Phoenix, Arizona will be held at a later date.
