MAUREEN A. (Doherty) WOODSON AGE 62 YEARS DIED AT her Walpole home, after a 2 A' battle with Lung Cancer , on Wednesday afternoon , August 16th, 2006. Born on December 27, 1943, in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Cornelius & Mildred (Delaney) Woodson.

Mrs. Woodson attended St. John's Elementary School in Cambridge and graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1961. Graduated from Burdett College in Boston with the Class of 1963.

A counselor at the Phoenix School in Norwood for the past 20 years.

An avid reader, member of the Rama Fitness Center in Norwood, she loved to dance, and was a traveler who enjoyed her time away. However the most precious time was spent with her family, caring for her grandchildren and vacationing with the entire family.

Beloved wife of Roger T. Woodson Loving mother of Brian C. Woodson of Casco, Maine, Beth E. Abely of Walpole, Nicole W. Hanover of Providence, Rhode Island, and Kathleen W. Jamieson of Waltham Cherished grandmother of 5 Sister of Daniel Doherty of Berkeley, California, Ellen Hill of Dedham, Ann Doherty of Norwood, Cornelius Doherty of Berkeley, California, and the late Joseph Doherty Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole on Saturday, August 19th, 2006 @ 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are 4PM to 8 PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Rural Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts.
