Mary E. Stonis

Mary E. (Richards) Stonis age 91 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 5, 2008. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on June 9, 1917 to her parents Perce and Mary C. (Cronin) Richards, and graduated from Braintree High School with the class of 1935. She had most recently been living in Walpole, Massachusetts.

She worked as an accountant for the Textron Company in Braintree, Massachusetts for 30 years.

Mrs. Stonis was the Past Commander of the DAV Auxillary Chapter 79 in Quincy, Massachusetts.

She enjoyed dining at Luciano's Restaurant as well as traveling to the DAV Conventions.

Beloved wife of Peter P. Stonis. Sister of the late Alfred S. Richards, Sterling J. Richards, and Paul P. Richards. Aunt of Polly (Richards) Reilly, Cheryl Richards, and Douglas Richards. Also survived by 3 grand nephews, 1 grand niece, 3 great grand nephews, and 1 great grand niece. Cherished friend of Lorraine Ahern of Quincy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
