Mary L. (D'Angelo) Stanton age 72 years died in her Canton, Massachusetts home on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on November 16, 1938; she was the daughter of the late Vincent P. and Margaret A. (Bouchard) D'Angelo. She graduated from the Newton High School, and later from the Peabody School of Nursing with the class of 1975. She has been a resident of Canton, Massachusetts for the past 15 years moving there from Walpole.

She was an LPN and worked at the Norwood Hospital for 10 years and the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton for 15 years.

She was an avid book reader, enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, cooking, and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Stanton. Loving mother of Karen S. Turnquist of Wakefield, Richard B. Stanton of Franklin, and John D. Stanton of Norwood. Cherished grandmother of 7. Sister of John D'Angelo of Windsor, VT, Carol Johnson of Leyden, Linda Hill of Newark, VT, the late Marge Travis, and the late David D'Angelo, Jr.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery in Walpole. Memorial donations may be made to: HESSCO Elder Services 1 Merchant Street Sharon, Massachusetts 02067.
