Mary C. (Finn) Shea age 83 years died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Thursday, July 30, 2009. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on January 27, 1926 to her parents the late Francis P. and Mary Ellen (Powers) Finn; she was raised in Mansfield, Massachusetts. She graduated from the Academy of Sacred Heart in Fall River, Massachusetts with the class of 1944. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1953 moving from Geneva, New York.
She worked as a secretary for the Bird Johnson Company in Walpole, Massachusetts for 10 years.
Mrs. Shea was the representative for Pro Life at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole, Massachusetts and recently served as the secretary for the Most Precious Blood Church in Dover, Massachusetts. In addition she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at both Blessed Sacrament Church and Most Precious Blood Church.
She also was a volunteer at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Loving mother of Thomas M. Shea of Dover, Daniel F. Shea of Norfolk, Anne E. Mangini of Walpole and the Late William D. Shea. Cherished grandmother of Michael Shea, Ryan Shea, Heidi Shea, Jenna Mangini, and Andrew Mangini. Sister of the late Edward Finn and John Finn, DDS.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Church 30 Centre Street Dover on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 2-4PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Saint Mary's Cemetery Mansfield, Massachusetts.
