Mary A. (Scahill) Quin, age 94 passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Friday, July 10, 2015. Born in Boston on April 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William Scahill and Delia (Gavin) Scahill. She graduated from Saint Patrick's High School in Roxbury with the class of 1938.
In April of 1944, during WWII, Mary joined the United States Navy. After serving her country, she met her husband, Gerard Quin, and together, they moved to Canton. While in Canton, the two raised their family. Mary also began working for New England Telephone, and stayed with the company through its many transitions until she retired from the IT department of Verizon. In 1993 the family moved to Walpole. During the winter months Mary and Gerard would take up residence in Zellwood, Florida.
Mary loved to go out dancing and was a member of the dance club at the Canoe Club in Bridgewater. In her younger years she also enjoyed roller skating, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.

Loving mother of Thomas G. Quin of Sharon, Gerard W. and his wife Linda Quin of Canton, and the late Donald G. Quin.
Mother in law of Debra Quin of San Diego.
Cherished grandmother of Meagan, Danielle, Devin, Matthew, Michael, Sean, Ian and great grandmother of ten.
Predeceased by four brothers and a sister.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Mary's Life Celebration on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 2- 6pm and Monday, July 13, 2015 from 9-9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Monday July13, 2015 at 10:00am. Internment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charity of Choice
