Mary G. Nelson-Martin

Mary G. (Pilkington) Nelson-Martin, age 85, died in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Friday, March 3, 2017.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 2, 1931, Mary was the daughter of the late Marinus and Stella May (Clark) Pilkington. An excellent student, Mary graduated high school at the age of 16. Mary was a resident of the town of Mansfield since moving here from Norwood in 1968.

Mary was the first full-time secretary for the Mansfield Fire Department and she loved her job. Previously, she was the manager of Martin Fabric's Mansfield location.

In her retirement, Mary enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods, and later in life Twin River with her friends and family.

Loving mother of Gary P. Nelson and James C. Nelson.
