Mary E. Locke

April 16, 1925 — February 17, 2009

Mary E. Locke age 83 years died in her Walpole home on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Born in Winchester, Massachusetts on April 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Phyllis (Fitch) Locke. She graduated from Boston University with her master's degree in Library Science. Before moving to Walpole, she had lived in North Attleboro.

She worked as a librarian for the Walpole Public Library for 20 years. After her retirement she continued to volunteer at the Walpole Public Library for 20 years.

She was a member of the Walpole Historical Society.

Sister of Martha McNutt of Merdian, Idaho, Cynthia Maier of Tucson, Arizona, and Linda Chantrill of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Visiting hours and interment are private.
