Mary Ellen Kannally

Miss Mary Ellen Kannally age 77 years died on Sunday November 14th, 2010 in the Wingate At Silver Lake in Kingston, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 4th, 1932, she was the daughter of John Howard Kannally and Clara Louise (Bothwell) Kannally. A 1950 graduate of Walpole Senior High School, she then graduated from Framingham Teachers College in 1954.

She began her teaching career in Wrentham, where she taught elementary education for 6 years. She then became an elementary education teacher in Walpole, where she worked for over 30 years and retired in 1991.

Living in Middleboro for the past 8 years, she moved there from East Walpole. She moved to Kingston in May.

She loved to travel to Europe and especially to Ireland. Enjoyed tending to her flower garden

Devoted daughter of the late John H. and Clara (Bothwell) Kannally. Sister of Claire Louise Kannally Kinney Joyce of Pembroke, John Richard Kannally of FL, Thomas Edward Kannally of OH, and Ruth Anne Kannally Hogan of FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole, Massachusetts.
