Mary R. (Ellis) Jones, 70, of Attleboro died March 18, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Fall River, MA, she lived in Walpole, MA for many years. She spent her later years living on Mirror Lake in Wrentham, MA.

Prior to her retirement in 2011, Mary tirelessly worked three jobs at the Norwood Police Department, the Norwood Civic Center, and H&R Block. She also often volunteered her time for various charities. Mary loved spending her days gardening, painting, and enjoying the ocean. She frequently attended hot air balloon festivals and had a knack for interior design. Her greatest happiness came from watching her children and grandchildren grow and pursue their passions.

Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Ellis of Walpole.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Jones and her partner Charles Bradley of Bellingham; her son Thomas Jones and his wife Lisa of Franklin; her daughter Michelle Henderson and her husband Edward of Bellingham; her son Jeffrey of Attleboro and his fiancee Nicole Capulli; and her seven grandchildren Daniel, Edward, Domenique, Alexis, Francis, Caitlin, and Jake. She was also the sister of the late Sydney Ellis, and is survived by her sister Rose Anne Lynch, and brothers Joseph, Mark and David Ellis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 4-6PM in the James H. Delaney Funeral Home, 48 Common St., Walpole. Funeral and interment will be private. Donations in her memory can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
