Mary Barbara Fitzgibbons

Mary Barbara "Barbie" (Walker) Fitzgibbons age 74 years died with her husband and children at her side, in her daughter's home, where her loving family had taken care of her through her long illness, in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Monday April 6, 2009. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on April 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Blanche (Campbell) Walker. She graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1952. She has been a lifelong resident of Walpole, Massachusetts.

She was a homemaker for all of her adult life.

Mrs. Fitzgibbons enjoyed her flower gardens, cooking for her family and friends. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren who all refered to her as "Barbie".

Beloved wife of William F. Fitzgibbons, Loving mother of Mary E. Halloway of Wrentham, Cindy A. Emswiler of Wrentham, William P. Fitzgibbons of Norwell, Laurie S. Ferland of Wrentham, and Juliet Mullen of Norfolk. Cherished grandmother of 15. Sister of Blanche Mucciarone of Waban, Charlotte Alger of Franklin, James Walker of West Dennis, the late Vivian Baker, the late Shirley Carroll, the late Phyllis Valade, and the late Wallace Walker. Also survived by hundreds of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, April 13, 2009 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Saint Francis Cemetery.
