MARY E. (MURPHY) DELANEY AGE 95 YEARS DIED in the Caritas Norwood Hospital on her 95th birthday, Sunday, September 24, 2006. Born in East Walpole, Massachusetts on September 24, 1911, the daughter of the late Lewis Francis & Elizabeth Agnes (Searson) Murphy. She graduated from Walpole Senior High School with the Class of 1929. She was a life long resident of Walpole.

Mrs. Delaney travelled widely with her husband, including 15 Elderhostel Programs throughout the world and also enjoyed daytrips around New England.

Mary was a charter member of the Country Kitchen Ladies Coffee Group

Active with the Blessed Sacrament Church, in various service capacities

However ,her greatest love was her family and especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren, following their interests and activities with great enthusiasm

Beloved wife of the late George B. Delaney Loving mother of George B. & his wife Brenda Delaney, Jr. of Jupiter, FL, Arleen E. & her husband Edward Paquette of Quincy, Mary L. O'Neil of Newton, Richard F. & his wife Karin Delaney of Orleans, and Kevin B. & his wife Linda Delaney of Needham. Cherished grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 16 Sister of the late William Murphy, George Murphy, Robert Murphy and Walter Murphy Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, East Street (Rt27) @ Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, September 28, 2006 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday Afternoon, September 27, 2006 from 4PM to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Highland Cemetery Norwood. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to: Walpole Scholarship Foundation 3 West Street Walpole, Massachusetts 02081.
