Mary C. Ciapciak

Mary C. (Dolan) Ciapciak age 77 years died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Annie (Carey) Dolan. She graduated from the Notre Dame Academy with the class of 1949 and went on to graduate from Emmanuel College with the class of 1953. She later graduated from the University of Saint Louis with her Masters degree in social work in 1956. She had been living in Walpole since 1979, moving from Norwood, Massachusetts.

She was a licensed social worker starting at Children's Hospital in Boston, then went to the Medfield State Hospital, and later went to the Framingham State Hospital. She became the director of social services at Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole, Massachusetts before opening her own practice, Mary Dolan Ciapciak LISCW.

Mrs. Ciapciak was the former director of the Board of Health in Walpole, Massachusetts, and was part of the Friends of the Walpole Public Library.

She enjoyed sailing on Jamacia Pond, reading, gardening, travel, but espcially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Loving mother of Stephen R. Ciapciak of Walpole, Lisa-ann Ciapciak of VT, and James J. Ciapciak and his wife Kerry of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Courtney Ciapciak, Stephen Ciapciak, Jr., Kelly Ciapciak, Patrick Ciapciak, Casey Ciapciak, and Kristen Ciapciak. Sister of Thomas J. Dolan, Jr. Esq. of VA and the late Margaret Dolan Thompson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Terrace Hill Cemetery Walpole, Massachusetts.
