Mary E. Capobianco

Mary E. (Hogg) Capobianco age 77 years died in the Norwood Hospital on Sunday, April 1, 2012. Born on February 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Esther (McGlinchey) Hogg. She graduated from Mount Saint Joseph's Academy with the class of 1952. She has been a resident of Norwood since 1959 moving there from Roslindale.

She was a homemmaker for most of her adult life, raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Capobianco was very active in Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood, including serving as the president of the Catholic Women's Club and being a member of Sodality. In addition, she was a member of the Italian American Club in Norwood, the Red Hats, and was a volunteer at Norwood Hospital.

She was well known for her poetry and operated her own poetry writing company, Touch of Class. She enjoyed singing at weddings and in various productions. She also performed in her own comedy show "Me, Myself, and I."

Beloved wife of Richard P. Capobianco. Loving mother of Paul R. Capobianco of Walpole, Mark J. Capobianco of Norton, Michael R. Capobianco of Wrentham, and Steven J. Capobianco of Franklin. Cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 2. Sister of the late Eleanor Brooks.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Siena Church Washington Street (Route 1A) at Nahatan Street Norwood on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 12 Noon. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 3-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
