Mary E. Brabants

Mary E. (Quirk) Brabants age 97 years died in her Norfolk, Massachusetts home on Monday, November 29, 2010. Born in Portland, Maine on April 23, 1913; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary J. (Parks) Quirk. She graduated from South Boston High School with the class of 1930. Mrs. Brabants has been a resident of Norfolk, Massachusetts since 1976, moving there from South Boston.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Crown Linen Company in South Boston for 10 years, and later worked part time as a bookkeeper at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. She however spent most of her time raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Brabants was an active member of Norfolk Senior Center.

Beloved wife of the late John W. Brabants. Loving mother of John W. Brabants, Jr. of Athens, NY, Elizabeth P. Kelley of Norfolk, Marie A. Smokovich of Middletown, NJ, Robert M. Brabants of Sandwich, Donald P. Brabants of Easton, and the late Edmund J. Brabants. Cherished grandmother of 24 and great grandmother of 36.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Jude's Church 86 Main Street Norfolk on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, December 3, 2010 from 3-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in the Norfolk Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk Senior Center 28 Medway Branch Road Norfolk, MA 02056.
