Mary Margaret Beatty

Mary Margaret Beatty age 86 years died in the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood, Massachusetts on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Born in South Boston, Massachusetts on July 25, 1923; she graduated from The Gate of Heaven High School in South Boston. She went on to graduate from the Carney Hospital School of Nursing in Dorchester, Massachusetts. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 28 years moving from Dorchester and previously from South Boston.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for the City of Boston's Department of Public Health for 25 years; and served as the head nurse for 10 years.

Devoted daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ann (King) Beatty. Sister of the late Thomas Beatty, MD, Stephen Beatty, and Beatrice Rull. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
