Marjorie Powers Sullivan

January 22, 1922 — April 14, 2010

Marjorie Powers Sullivan of Hingham, while surrounded by the members of her family, passed away on April 14, 2010 suddenly. Born January 22, 1922, Marjorie was raised in Burlington, VT with her three sisters. During WWII, she worked as an executive secretary for Bell Aircraft in Montpelier, VT.

She married in 1948 and moved to MA, where she and her husband devoted themselves to raising a family. She lived in Norwood, Abington, and Braintree before settling in Hingham. She enjoyed reading, reciting poetry, photography, and spending time with her family.

Marjorie leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 years, Timothy Sullivan, Sr., as well as her loving children: her daughter Karen Sullivan of Hingham; her son Timothy Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Diane of Hull; and her son William Sullivan and his wife Dawn of Brockton. Marjorie will be missed forever by her five grandchildren; Tara, Maeve, Melissa, Bridget, and Adam, as well as one great granddaughter Neila Mae Martin. She is predeceased by her parents, all three of her sisters, and her grandson, Timothy Sullivan, III.

A private burial ceremony will be held early next week. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie's name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by J.H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
