Marjorie Petrillo

Mrs. Marjorie (Harper) Petrillo age 86 years died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in her Walpole Home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hyde Park, on October 10, 1922, the daughter of James and Elsa (McNichol) Harper. She was raised in Readville, and was a member of the Class of 1939 , Hyde Park High School.

A homemaker for all of her adult life, she loved to cook and take care of her family. she enjoyed planting both flowers and vegetables. The vegetables were all canned at the end of the season for use throughout the winter. Marjorie and her late husband Frank loved to ballroom dance, were members of the Scrambled 8 Square Dancing Club. She loved to watch and follow the Rex Sox

A resident of Walpole for the past 56 years moving here from Readville.

Beloved wife of the late Francis "Frank" Petrillo Loving mother of Frank Thomas Petrillo, Jr. of N. Attleboro, Linda M. Nevins of East Walpole, Marjorie E. Mello of Norwood, Noreen Baranowski of Bourne,and the late Carol Ann Petrillo. Cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 11 Sister of the late George Harper, the late James Harper , the late Elsa Harper, the late Hilma Harper, the late Mae Brown, and the late Robert Harper.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt. 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, September 28, 2009 @ 10AM . Visiting hours are Sunday, September 27, 2009, from 4pm to 7pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
