Marjorie C. McLaughlin

Marjorie C. (Francis) McLaughlin age 88 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, January 17, 2009. Born in Foxborough, Massachusetts on December 31, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. & Blanche (Hewins) Francis. She graduated from Foxborough High School. She had been living in Foxborough since the late seventies, moving from Walpole and previously Attleboro.

She worked as a telephone operator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the Foxborough State Hospital, and later for the Wrentham State School, where she retired in 1976.

Mrs. McLaughlin enjoyed reading; watching movies; listening to music of the Country & Western, Pop, and Big Band genres. She also enjoyed traveling to the Carribean, Nova Scotia, and New Hampshire.

Beloved wife of the late Walter "Mack" McLaughlin. Sister of the late Gertrude Hewins and Arthur Francis. Aunt of Patricia A. Halligan of West Yarmouth, Barbara F. Nickerson of North Billerica, and Judith Roberts of Derry, New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Friday, January 23, 2008 at 11AM. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 9 to 11 AM. Interment is private.
