Marjorie B. (Sponable) Bruno, age 89, died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Born in Albany, New York on March 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Adelbert and Madeline (Rapp) Sponable. She graduated from Albany High School with the class of 1942. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1952 moving from Readville.

She worked as a secretary for the Teledyne Philbrick Company in Dedham, retiring in 1983 after 20 years of service. She also worked at Bradlees for 4 years and All For A Dollar for 3 years. Marjorie enjoed crocheting and loved to cook.

Loving mother of William E. Bruno of Foxboro and Shirley J. Finch of Woonsocket. Cherished grandmother of William Jr., Tina, Kim, Michael, Keith, Jessica, and Richard, Jr. and great grandmother of Sarah, Colby, Derek, Amber, Sophie, Jenna, Grace, Madison, and Sadie. Sister of the late Grover Sponable, Ralph Sponable, Edward Sponable, and Shirley Grady.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Marjorie’s Life Celebration on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Funeral Service will be held in the Victory Assembly of God Church, 67 High Plain Street, Sharon on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.
