Marion A. (Woodford) Gusson age 81 years died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. & Laura M. (Lewis) Woodford. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1999 moving there from Roslindale, where she lived for 30 years. She had previously lived in Jamaica Plain, South Boston, and the South End.
She was an accountant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Parks and Recreation Department for 20 years, retiring in 1989. In addition, during the Korean War she worked on Military Planes for Boeing in California.
Mrs. Gusson was a member of the Walpole Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, and crafts, especially making Christmas Tree decorations. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late John M. Gusson. Loving mother of Karen Solimine of Walpole and Lorriane A. White of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Lorraine C. Deluca of Saugus, John W. White, Jr. of Natick, Michael J. White of Hyde Park, and Charles Solimine of Assonett and great grandmother of 5. Sister of George Woodford and Carolyn Knapp both of Maine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in Saint George Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Road West Roxbury on WEDNESDAY, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are MONDAY, April 29, 2013 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Roslindale.
