Marilyn Carol McColgan

Mrs. Marilyn Carol "Mac" (Hutchings) McColgan age 69 years died in the Harrington House Nursing Facility in Walpole, Massachusetts on Saturday Morning, June 28th, 2008. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 9th, 1938, to her parents Alfred and Pearl (Johnson) Hutchings. She graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1956, entered into the Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1959. She retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2004 after working for over 38 years at the Wrentham State School. She was very dedicated to working with the mentally retarded.

A resident of Walpole since 1961 , moving here from Norwood.

Mrs. McColgan enjoyed her flower gardens, from the planting throughout the entire season. She was an avid sports fan. Her greatest joys came from her family and especially from all of her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Thomas J. McColgan loving mother of Barry J. McColgan, Brian D. and his wife Maura McColgan all of Walpole and Paula J. and her husband Sean Burke of Dudley. Cherished grandmother of 5 sister of Russell A. Hutchings of Coral Springs , Fl. Also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
