Marilyn Judith "Judy" Dawber, age 78, of Walpole, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 08, 2020 at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton, Massachusetts. Born in her family's farmhouse in Enmore, Prince Edward Island, Canada on February 19, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Beck) Bryant. She spent her early years in Canada before moving with her family to Boston, Massachusetts. Judy was diagnosed with severe asthma when she was a young girl and in order to maintain her health, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona until the age of 16. Upon her return home to Boston, Judy took a position with Jay's Department Store in Boston, working as a clothing model.
Judy married her beloved husband, John Joseph Dawber, on October 25, 1962 in Jamaica Plain. The young couple initially made their home together in Dedham and later made their home in Boston, before settling in Walpole, Massachusetts in 1975. While living in Walpole, Judy took a position with Heartland Supermarket, working as the head clerk in the front of the store. After Heartland closed, Judy took a position with BayBank in Dedham, where she retired as the head clerk.
Throughout her life, Judy had a talent for cake decorating. She created several masterpiece cakes and was always asked to decorate the Easter Eggs for Watson's Candies in Walpole. From the time she was young, Judy learned the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. She enjoyed staying active and ensured that she and her husband kept a healthy diet.
