Marilyn Hildreth (Daley) Boyden, age 90, of Walpole MA. Passed away peacefully Saturday, October 26th, 2024.
Born in Fall River MA. November 26, 1933, she was the daughter of Carl R.A. Daley and Hildreth R. (Durfee) Daley. Marilyn grew up in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and graduated from Dighton High School in 1951. Continuing her education, she then graduated from New England Deaconess Hospital school of nursing in 1954, and received her B. S. in nursing in 1959 at Boston University.
She met Lester “Dave” Boyden, and they married in Rehoboth in 1960. They lived in Milton MA before moving to their new home in Walpole in 1967. While working full-time at Norwood Hospital Marilyn and Dave would welcome three beautiful daughters over the years. Enjoying vacations in Maine, visiting with family, and sewing matching outfits for her girls for special occasions. Retiring from Norwood Hospital in 1995, she and Dave enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. When Dave passed in 2013 Marilyn continued to live at home, spending time with her grandchildren, reading books, doing puzzles, and visiting family. She continued to travel with her daughters, taking long weekend trips to Maine and New Hampshire to visit friends and family and places she loved.

Sister of the late Carl Daley
Aunt of John Daley of Anchorage, Alaska and James Daley of Forest Lake, Minnesota
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Marilyn's Life Celebration on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the United Church of Walpole, 30 Common Street, Walpole, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole.
