Margaret M. Sweeney

Margaret M. (Coughlin) Sweeney age 99 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 25, 1911; she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Dalton) Coughlin. She was a lifelong resident of Walpole, Massachusetts.

Mrs. Sweeney was a homemaker for most of her adult life, raising and caring for her family. In addition she worked for 5 years as a nurse at the State Hospital for Crippled Children in Canton.

She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Sweeney. Loving mother of Evelyn M. Raymond of Holly Spring, North Carolina, Doris M. Harrington of Plainville, Merril Sweeney of Norwood, the late Robert P. Sweeney and the late James E. Sweeney. Cherished grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 22, and great great grandmother of 6. Sister of the late Ada Connolly, Maurice Coughlin, Frances Lane, John Coughlin, Thomas Coughlin, and William Coughlin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 10:00AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 4-8PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
