Margaret Claire Houlihan

Mrs Margaret Claire (Dahill) Houlihan age 83 years died in her daughter Akron, Ohio Home on Monday evening, December 14th, 2009. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on October 22, 1926, the daughter of Thomas H. and Helen (Ireland) Dahill. She graduated Arlington High School with the Class of 1944.

A resident of Akron since September 2008, having lived in Carver, Massachusetts and Florida for 22 years and Walpole for over 36 years.

A retired Library Clerk for the Town of Walpole Public Library.

Mrs. Houlihan was active in her bowling league, bocce league, enjoyed painting and TaiChi' and was President of the Carefree Country Club.

Beloved wife of the late John F. Houlihan Loving mother of Jacqueline Wenzel of Franklin, Thomas Houlihan of Bennington, Vermont, Michael Houlihan of Pensacola, Florida, Carolyn Houlihan of Akron, Ohio, Robert Houlihan of Pensacola, Florida, Mark Houlihan of Plainville. Cherished grandmother of Joseph Houlihan, Elizabeth Wenzel-Usowicz, Rachel Houlihan-Paslow, John Houlihan, Steven Wenzel, Patrick Wining, Melanie Houlihan and the late Jimmy Shufelt. Great grandmother of Matthew Parslow, Jacob Parslow and Zepher James Houlihan. Sister of Helen Farinacci of Walpole, Thomas Dahill of Arlington, Charles Dahill of Ogunqoit, Maine, and Robert Dahill of Maynard.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Saint Mary's Church One Church Square Franklin, Massachusetts on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 1:30PM. Visiting hours are Friday evening, December 18, 2009 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Saint Mary's Cemetery Franklin, Massachusetts.
