Margaret C. Costello age 90 years died in the Harrington House in Walpole, Massachusetts on Monday, July 26, 2010. Born in Dedham, Massachusetts on May 15, 1920; she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Katherine (Connolly) Costello. She graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1938. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past year moving from Hyannis where she spent over 20 years.
She worked as an administrative assistant for the U.S. State Department for 40 years, serving all over the world. After her retirement she continued to work for the U.S. State Department on a part time basis.
Miss Costello enjoyed traveling to Florida, keeping up on current events, and spending time with her friends and family.
Sister of Joseph Costello of Hilton Head, SC, the late Thomas Costello, Anna Costello, Stephen Costello, Barbara Mulherin, Mary Norwell, Kathleen Curtis, and Patrick Costello. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM. An hour of visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: Blessed Sacrament School 808 East Street Walpole, Massachusetts 02081.
