Margaret Mary (Raeke) Corboy, age 75, passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert Richard and Barbara C. (Jones) Raeke. She was raised in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston but spent most of her summers in Manomet. Margaret graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School with the Class of 1961 and earned her certificate at the Boston Business School in 1962. After graduation, she took a secretarial position with the First National Bank of Boston.
Margaret married her loving husband, Paul James Corboy, on October 28, 1967 in Saint John's Church in West Roxbury. The young couple made their home together in Hyde Park before settling in East Walpole in 1970. After welcoming her children, Jean Marie and Matthew Paul, Margaret took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. After her children had grown up, Margaret returned to the working world, taking a clerk's position with the United States Postal Service in the Needham Branch in 1985. In 1991, she and Paul settled into their home on Stetson Circle and Margaret retired from the Post Office in 2004.
In her retirement, Margaret enjoyed traveling with Paul and together they took many cruises. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach in Plymouth as she did when she was a young girl. Most of all, she was a devoted mother to her children and strongly advocated for them throughout their lives.
Beloved wife of Paul James Corboy. Loving mother of Jean Marie Corboy and Matthew Paul Corboy both of Walpole. Sister of Robert Richard Raeke, Jr. and his wife Isabelle Marie of Westwood.
