Margaret E. Conaty

Margaret E. "Peg" Conaty of Walpole age 99 died November 11, 2010, just 9 days short of her 100th birthday.

She was the wife of the late George H. Conaty. She was the caring mother of Margaret Jean Stahl of Walpole and George H. Conaty, Jr. and his wife Ann of Wrentham. She was Nana to Joan Henry and her husband Charles of Fitchburg, Jill Connors and her late husband Douglas of Westminister, Judith Ciriello and her husband Anthony of Foxboro, Joyce DeGerolamo of Walpole, Carole Whippie and her husband Kevan of Winchester, NH, Cathleen Ammann of Barrington, NH, Martha Buchanan of Fall River, and Robert Vivieros and his wife Terry of RI. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was sister to the late Charles Morgan of South Hadley Falls and the late Viola Morgan Dynan of Plainville.

Margaret was born in Holyoke, MA. After graduated from Fitchburg Normal School in 1929, she and her husband moved to Walpole, where she has lived ever since. She spent many years Summering at her cottage in Carver, MA. She was a long time member of the United Church of Christ in Walpole and a 64 year member of the Walpole Women's Club where she had been Veteran's Chairman and President of the American Home Division for several years.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
