Marcia A. (Erwin) Nolan, age 74, passed away peacefully in the Season's Hospice Home in Milton, Massachusetts on Monday, July 31, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Medford, Massachusetts on September 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Annie (Winning) Erwin. She was raised in Medford, graduating from Medford High School with the Class of 1960. She continued her education after high school, attending Bridgewater State College.

Marcia married her loving husband, Edward J. Nolan on September 16, 1962 at the Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale. The young couple made their home together in Roslindale before settling in Walpole, Massachusetts in 1966, where they raised their three children. Marcia took a part time position with the Southwood Hospital in Norfolk working in the Tumor Registry Board and later worked out of Norwood Hospital. In addition to working at Norwood, she spent countless hours volunteering her time at the hospital. She was deeply involved in her community over the past 51 years, regularly volunteering with the Walpole Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and with the American Cancer Society as a driver and coordinator.

She loved spending time with her friends and family and was overjoyed when she became Gammy to her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
