Marcella M. Dubuque

Marcella M. (MacLellan) Dubuque, age 81, died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.  Born in Judique, Nova Scotia, Canada, on December 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Danny and Catherine MacLellan.  She graduated from Judique High School with the class of 1947.  She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1973, moving from Brookline, Massachusetts.

She worked most recently as a Nanny for various families for 15 years, retiring in 1998.

 

Marcella’s faith was strong and she was a devout member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole.

Marcella loved her hometown of Judique, making bi annual road trips there, where she was a member of the Judique Historical Society and would love spending time with her family and friends.  She had a constant thirst for knowledge, which led her to read many books and watch various documentaries.  She enjoyed skating, dancing, Gaelic Music, and was a wonderful story teller.  In addition, she was an accomplished artist, known for her cartoons. 

Beloved wife of Robert D. Dubuque.

Loving mother of Danny Dubuque of Walpole, Lynne Graham of Mabou, NS, Michael Dubuque and his wife Linda of Billerica, and Mark Dubuque and his wife Hyun of Hephzibah, GA.

Cherished grandmother of Steve Graham and Nick Graham both of Mabou, NS, Bobby Dubuque, Jessica Dubuque, and Melissa Dubuque all of Billerica, and Joshua Dubuque of Hephzibah, GA, and great grandmother of Accalia Dubuque and Alaina Jane Dubuque.

Sister of Donnie MacLellan of NS, Steve MacLellan of MI, and Stan MacLellan of MI.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Marcella’s hometown of Judique.  Interment will be in Saint Andrew’s Parish Cemetery in Judique.  Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
