Madeline Marie Whitmarsh

Madeline Marie (Ward) "Sis" Whitmarsh age 70 years died in her Plainville, Massachusetts home on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on Mary 20, 1939; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Madeline (Hough) Ward. She was a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She has been a resident of Plainville for the past 8 years moving from Wrentham, Massachusetts; where she spent 40 years.

She worked as a waitress for 30 years at Colstones in North Attleboro, then at the Kai Lua Restaurant in North Attleboro, and finally at the Kihei Restaurant in Walpole.

Mrs. Whitmarsh loved to go to casinos and play cards. She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed traveling to Old Orchard Beach in Maine every summer with her family.

She loved both of her cats, Bunny and Hazel.

Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Whitmarsh. Loving mother of Beverly Saks and her husband Imant of Rochester, NH, Judith Beaumont of Sharon, Linda Leeco and her husband Mike of North Attleboro, Nancy Brodeur and her husband Ronald of Attleboro, and Charles Whitmarsh, Jr. and Debbie Mullen of Wrentham. Cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 4. Sister of the late Gerald W. Ward and William H. Ward. Cousin of Michael Williams of RI and Carol Radin of ME. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
